I stumbled upon your site by accident. My grandmother (Filomena Pantone) was born in Pomarico, and came to the United States in 1910, at the age of six. My grandfather, Joseph (Giuseppe?) Carioscia was from Pomarico, Italy....my grandmother always said he was from
the "mountain"...now I have seen the "mountain". Thank you for this beautiful picture of this mountainous city. I'm sure I have relatives there...I wonder if I'm related to Carmela Carioscia named on the website?

Mio nonno, Joseph (Giuseppe?) Carioscia era di Pomarico, Italia....mia nonna diceva sempre che lui veniva "dalla montagna"....ora io ho visto la "montagna". Grazie per questa bella foto di questa città "montagnosa". Sono sicuro di avere dei parenti laggiù. Mi chiedo se sono parente di Carmela Carioscia nominata nel sito.
